Distance Proctoring

ÑÇÖÞ²ÊÆ±¹ÙÍø Students needing to test at another location

Students who live outside of a location that has a ÑÇÖÞ²ÊÆ±¹ÙÍø Testing Center and need to take an exam (placement exam or ÑÇÖÞ²ÊÆ±¹ÙÍø class exam) will need to fill out a Distance/Proctor Request form. Please follow the guidelines below as to where forms need to be sent.

ÑÇÖÞ²ÊÆ±¹ÙÍø Course Exams

Students who are currently enrolled in a class and need to take an exam outside of the ÑÇÖÞ²ÊÆ±¹ÙÍø Testing Center needing to obtain approval for a proctor must fill out the proctor request form and return to the class instructor’s e-mail or fax number listed on the student's syllabus.

Acceptable Proctor

To qualify as a proctor, an individual should hold one of the following positions listed below.

Personal friends, family members, and co-workers are not approved proctors.

  • College or university
    • dean
    • department head
    • a professional staff member of the adult or continuing education office
    • counseling center
    • testing center
  • Private or public school
    • superintendent
    • principal
    • department head
    • counselor
    • grade team leader
  • City, county, etc.
    • certified librarian at a local library
    • civil service examiner
  • Other
    • United States Armed Forces Educational Services officer
  • It is the student's responsibility to find a proctor and pay any associated costs for testing. 
  • All proctors must be approved through the class instructor. For proctor approval complete and mail or fax the proctor request form to the class instructor.
  • When a proctor is verified all tests or testing information will be sent directly to the proctor with proctoring guidelines.
  • It is the student's responsibility to contact the proctor and set up appointments to take exams.

Students of other College or Universities testing at ÑÇÖÞ²ÊÆ±¹ÙÍø

The ÑÇÖÞ²ÊÆ±¹ÙÍø Testing Center provides testing opportunities for students of other colleges and universities to take their exams in a secure and proctored environment. Anyone who would like to take their exam at ÑÇÖÞ²ÊÆ±¹ÙÍø must first contact their school to inform them of the desire to take an exam at the ÑÇÖÞ²ÊÆ±¹ÙÍø. Many schools require their students to fill out a form so they can get the necessary information sent to ÑÇÖÞ²ÊÆ±¹ÙÍø.

ÑÇÖÞ²ÊÆ±¹ÙÍø distance proctoring for other colleges or universities requires the following:

  • A $20 proctoring fee, paid at the time of the exam (cash or check)
  • A valid photo ID such as a driver’s license or current/valid school student ID card
  • ÑÇÖÞ²ÊÆ±¹ÙÍø does not allow open-book exams or students to take an exam on their laptop

Students who are unsure if their exam materials have been received by ÑÇÖÞ²ÊÆ±¹ÙÍø, please contact the Testing Center before showing up for your exam. If ÑÇÖÞ²ÊÆ±¹ÙÍø does not have your exam material, you will need to contact your school. Please be aware that ÑÇÖÞ²ÊÆ±¹ÙÍø will not pay for shipping charges for an exam or any exam materials. If there is any cost associated with an exam, the student will be responsible for arranging payment with their school.
