Transfer Scholarship Awards to ÑÇÖÞ²ÊÆ±¹ÙÍø

You Won a Scholarship! Now What?

If you were awarded a private scholarship or grant (like one from a business, foundation, community group, or a scholarship essay contest) you might be wondering how the money gets to you.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Some scholarship awards are sent directly to you, the student.
  • Others are sent directly to the ÑÇÖÞ²ÊÆ±¹ÙÍø (ÑÇÖÞ²ÊÆ±¹ÙÍø) to be applied to your student account.

To make sure your scholarship can be used to pay for tuition, books, or other school costs, follow the steps below to have the funds sent to ÑÇÖÞ²ÊÆ±¹ÙÍø.

If you're a donor wishing to submit a scholarship for a ÑÇÖÞ²ÊÆ±¹ÙÍø student, please note that all scholarships must be processed through the ÑÇÖÞ²ÊÆ±¹ÙÍø Foundation Office. A 3% administrative fee will be applied to non-endowed gifts. Kindly follow the steps below:

1. Include the following information with the check:

  • Recipient’s Name and ÑÇÖÞ²ÊÆ±¹ÙÍø Student ID #
  • Semester(s) for which the scholarship applies (e.g., fall, spring, summer, or split between fall and spring)
  • Number of credits the student must be enrolled in to be eligible for the scholarship
  • Any other rules or regulations

2. Processing: Once received, the check will be processed and applied to the student's account. During peak times (August and January), please allow up to two weeks for the funds to disburse.

3. Viewing and Accepting Scholarships: Students can view and accept outside scholarships in their self-service portal once processed. Expect funds on the student account within 7-10 business days after acceptance.
